Welcome to Our Team: Meet Our New Student Intern!
We are excited to welcome a new member to our project team – please join us in extending a warm welcome to our student intern, Soe Myat Tun (James)!
Soe Myat Tun (James) is joining us from Rangsit University, where he is currently pursuing a degree in International Relations and Development. With a strong interest in youth empowerment, digital technology, and sustainable development, he brings fresh perspectives and enthusiasm that we’re confident will add great value to our work!
Message from Soe Myat Tun (James):
Hello, I’m Soe Myat Tun, originally from Myanmar, and I grew up in a border town of Ranong, Thailand. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Development at Rangsit International College in Thailand.
With over eight years of experience as a migrant educator in Ranong, I empowered youth through digital education, founded a medium for the right information, and provided IT knowledge and skills for the Burmese migrant community in Ranong.
Beyond education and technology, I have a strong commitment to environmental sustainability and sustainable development. In my internship, I will explore the connections between labour arrangements and fisheries management, particularly in fishmeal and direct feed supply chains. I am looking forward to engaging with ethnographic methods through fieldwork and the JustSeafood team!
